Basic Purpose
The Manager Inside Sales will develop and implement a business plan for the accounts assigned to the inside sales team, consistent with the strategic plan for the business and lead a sales team to achieve performance objectives. In the positions of Manager Inside Sales the person will also set and manage financial budgets, sales processes, and key priorities of Inside Account Managers that report directly to this position.
Description of Primary Responsibilities
- Outlines and executes Nexeo sales strategies to successfully grow the sales and profits for the business.
- Work with Human Resources to identify and select talent for Inside Sales team.
- Knowledgeable of sales processes to guide team on sales opportunities and customer business to maximize sales.
- Creates individual and team-based goals to define goals, development, and improvement in performance in line with Nexeo guidance.
- Coaches and provides learning to teams on performance, problem solving techniques, and strategies.
- Build and maintain relationships cross-functionally and with team for collaborations and a trusting environment.
- Drives departmental key financial objectives including business operating profit, revenue, gross profit, strategic product sales, and expense management.
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in response to changing customer and team needs.
- Keep up to date on industry and market trends leveraging market knowledge for strategic inside and development of sales growth strategies.
- Grow and maintain a team driven to produce results based on Nexeo culture and guidance.
- Sets the example and supports the team with use of CRM application for sales administration processes.
Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience & Skills)
- Bachelor's degree; Engineering, Chemistry, Business, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years Business to Business (B2B) sales or sales management experience in chemical, plastics, composites or environmental services, or related industries.
- Demonstrated execution of leadership including accountability, engagement, empowerment.
- Proven track record of delivering consistent and long-term strategy growth.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Proficient computer skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are required.
- Experience with SAP, Salesforce.com and Outlook is a plus.
- Using logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written.
- Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with internal and external customers.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
