Basic Purpose
The Manager of IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure and cybersecurity posture. This role ensures high availability, performance, and security of systems and networks, while leading a team of engineers and analysts to support business operations and strategic initiatives.
Position Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Cybersecurity Management
· Lead the planning, deployment, and maintenance of network, server, storage, and cloud infrastructure
· Ensure system uptime, performance, and scalability across all environments.
· Manage vendor relationships and service contracts for infrastructure components.
· Lead (by providing hands-on support) the implementation of various Cybersecurity tools such as Crowdstrike, Cisco XDR and NinjaOne.
Cybersecurity Oversight
· Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
· Monitor threat intelligence and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities.
· Oversee identity and access management, endpoint protection, and data loss prevention.
· Directly manage Security Operations Center (SOC)
Team Leadership
· Supervise and mentor a team of infrastructure and cybersecurity professionals.
· Conduct performance reviews, training plans, and career development initiatives.
· Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Compliance & Risk Management
· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, etc.).
· Conduct risk assessments and manage mitigation plans.
· Lead internal and external audits related to IT and security.
Strategic Planning & Budgeting
· Collaborate with senior leadership to align IT infrastructure and security strategies with business goals.
· Develop and manage budgets for infrastructure and cybersecurity projects.
· Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.
Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience & Skills)
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field experience.
· 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure & cybersecurity and 7+ overall IT professional experience.
· Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Technical Skills
· Strong knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN), virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), and storage systems.
· Proficiency in cybersecurity tools and frameworks (SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection).
· Experience with compliance standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or HIPAA.
· Have directly led Security Operations Center (SOC)
· Have experience performing penetration testing and remediations (as appropriate)
Certifications (Preferred)
· CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, or equivalent.
· ITIL, PMP, or other project management certifications are a plus.
Other duties as assigned. Travel as needed for the position.
