Basic Purpose

Nexeo Plastics, LLC is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to support the company’s North America region in the areas of HRIS, administrative duties, and project management. This position is responsible for day-to-day transactional data load into Nexeo’s HR systems, applications & products for Data Processing and resolving data related issues working in conjunction with IT, generating master data reports and queries and analysis. The HR Specialist will be responsible for partnering with the HR management team and delivering HR solutions to business opportunities. This position requires a driven individual with experience supporting multiple systems and processes and a track record of building credible relationships and partnering with multiple lines of business. This position is a hybrid role in The Woodlands, TX.

 

Ideal candidate will have strengths and applicable experience in assisting in the development, implementation, and oversight of HR programs on a day-to-day basis, organizational development, HR project management experience, change management, continuous process improvement, employee relations, compensation and benefits, staffing/recruiting and effectively partnering with all HR components. 

 

Position Responsibilities

  • Support Organization Management and Personnel Management data in HR environment. 
  • Review and investigate master data related issues in HR systems and other third-party software.  
  • Serves as the primary recipient for employee status changes including onboarding, termination job changes, etc.
  • Initiates, develops, and supervises the implementation of internal and external procedures for improving manual and automated processing of personnel reports.
  • Works with HR staff to validate each request and the accurate completion or routing of each form based on HR processes.
  • Participate in projects to plan, design, and implement HR business and systems initiatives.
  • Understand end to end HR processes with its data related touch points in HR systems starting with sourcing of candidates all the way to retirement/termination.
  • Augments and provides representation on some and/or multiple HR work teams responsible for identifying and providing solutions to improve HR processes. 
  • Ensures the highest level of accuracy for data entered into the HR data systems to ensure successful data audits.
  • Audits data entry on a regular basis to review data accuracy and compliance.
  • Provides data support for Human Resources staff, all associate end-users, and members of senior management.
  • Prepares HR metrics to be presented at monthly, quarterly, and annual senior leadership meetings.
  • Initiates technology service requests to revise or develop existing or new modules for processing data and reports.
  • Researches and prepares information in response to assigned data requests, including but not limited to data availability, feasibility of requests, ad-hoc reports, and technical support.
  • Creates standard or ad-hoc reports out of Success Factors and other HR data systems to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting guidelines.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

 

Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience & Skills)

  • College degree required.  BA/BS in Human Resources Management or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience with SAP's Organization Management and Personnel Administration data architecture is a must. Systems to include Success Factors, ADP workforce management, and ADP Payroll.
  • Must have at least 2 - 4 years of experience with complex HR technology environments with multiple system interfaces.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of state, federal and local laws and regulations related to human resources. Knowledge of HR and labor practices is highly desired.  
  • Creative problem solver with strong organizational skills, with proven ability to effectively plan, implement and administer programs to achieve business objectives.  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to clearly convey complex information and ideas both to senior level management and line level management.  
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
