Basic Purpose
The Financial Analyst is a highly valued “utility” position within the Finance Department and serves as a liaison between the commercial businesses, back-office functions, and management to develop robust and useful financial analytics in order to gain a thorough understanding of the linkage between the company’s operations and financial performance. Primarily an individual contributor, the truly successful candidate will be team oriented and will recognize when to collaborate across functions to build trust, cooperation, and consensus. He or she will be an energetic self-starter and highly motivated by personal success and committed to the overall success of the department and the company. Must prefer, and can successfully thrive in, an extremely fast-paced, dynamic, and performance-oriented environment.
Position Responsibilities
- Financial reporting including monthly business performance reviews, operating reports and management reporting packages
- Develop annual budgets and forecast updates, including insightful performance reporting and detailed variance analyses
- Developing financial models, financial and operational metrics and processes necessary to support forecasts for key financial statement components
- Cash forecasting and planning
- Working capital forecasts and reporting
- Ad hoc analysis and business case support
- Long-term strategic planning
- Productivity and cost savings initiatives
- Headcount reporting
- Additional duties as assigned by management
Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience & Skills)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, general business or other quantitative oriented program from an accredited university REQUIRED
- Exceptional proficiency with Excel, Power Point, Power BI, SAC or other similar financial software and large data-analysis tools REQUIRED
- Experience with Python and SQL or other similar complex data analysis tools helpful
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience within a high-growth environment
- Strong business acumen and ability to quickly analyze and synthesize large complex data sets
- Previous experience partnering with commercial and functional leaders in a financial role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport with all levels of the organization
- Highly collaborative with cross-functional team-oriented focus
- Highly motivated with a proven track record of delivering superior results
- Must have the ability to organize and set priorities to meet deadlines
