Employee Engagement Manager

Nexeo Plastics LLC is in search of an Employee Engagement Manager to join our HR Team. This role will be responsible for and/or involved in all aspects of enhancing the organizational culture and employee experience throughout the employee life cycle. This role is in The Woodlands and incorporates flexible work options.

  • Assess organizational culture and create programs focused on a best place to work environment.
  • Assess employees' needs, evaluate/analyze feedback, and translate into actionable recommendations to improve the organization's work environment.
  • Ensure an onboarding program that excites employees and keeps them connected to the company mission, vision and values. 
  • Create and manage creative and innovative programs aimed at cultivating organizational culture and continuously evolving them in ways to ensure employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Design and facilitate internal events, delivering experiences that enhance connectivity.
  • Manage, track and run the processes required to provide a great employee experience to include employee surveys, social rewards, and employment engagement initiatives.
  • Review, make recommendations and partner on all aspects of the employee cycle to include attracting talent, recruitment, orientation, development, and retention.



  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management, education, or a related discipline. Master’s degree preferred. HR Certification preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • 10+ years of experience in Human Resources or Organizational Development
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience in change management, organizational assessment, and employment engagement
  • Very strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrable commitment to continuous improvement with a high degree of initiative.
  • Ability to prioritize and work under pressure to deadlines.
  • Resilient and comfortable taking ownership.
  • Experience of facilitating and influencing decision making.
  • Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build valuable stakeholder relationships.
  • An ability to own programs and initiatives at all levels – development, design, execution, continuous improvement.
  • Proven track record of developing, driving and delivering against implementation plans.
