Technical Manager and Architect – SAP Development

 

We are seeking a Technical Manager and Architect to drive our efforts related to realizing our company’s strategic growth plan. In this role, you will engage with IT Business Systems Managers, Functional Architects and manage other IT team resources to support the development and delivery of our data and technology strategy, for various Corporate, Commercial, Operational, and Process Optimization initiatives, across each function of our business. You will be required to participate in design definition workshops, develop Technical Design Specifications for Custom Code development, in close alignment with our organizational objectives.

 

  • The purpose of this position is to lead information technology consulting support, system integrations, and technical development for solutions within Nexeo's global applications portfolio.
  • The primary focus will be on developing and maintaining high quality, efficient, and reusable solutions that result in a low total cost of ownership for the company.
  • This is a highly technical position with primary functions to include collaboration with functional and other technical groups to perform technical process and change designs for establishing best practices.
  • The position leads Development execution through multiple sources, including employees, contractors, outsource provider and consulting organizations, to complete tasks, such as system configuration, prototyping, unit/integrated testing and process documentation.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead Enterprise Architect for Development Team, providing timely cost effective solutions in the SAP ecosystem and extension applications.
  • Manage Global Development Teams for Full Life-Cycle SAP Implementations, Rollouts, Upgrades, Business Process Re-engineering, Integration and Run/Maintain Projects, using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Global design and delivery of RICEFW objects using HANA, ABAP, OO ABAP, HCI, Fiori, UI5, ABAP Webdynpro, EDI/ALE, LSMW, Adobe Forms, Sapscript and Smartforms.
  • Spearhead innovative solutions for unique business challenges using SAP Cloud Platform (SCP), Robotics Process Automation (RPA) tool and Rapid Application Development (RAD) platform.
  • Lead Global Development Team in project and production support roles with onsite/offshore and external partner/integrator models, across geographically distributed teams.
  • Collaborate within and across project teams, IT Groups, business and external partners/vendors in multidisciplinary teams to define and design complex processes and procedures for the configuration, upgrade, and maintenance of SAP and related application systems.
  • “Right Sizing” of solutions, keeping in mind overall business/IT strategy for near and long term.
  • Meeting business objectives using the right tool for the right job and building solutions that are secure, scalable, user friendly and easily supportable.
  • Continuous process, technology, and people improvement, leveraging new tools/technologies.
  • Manage Global Team to handle changing and competing priorities across multiple projects.
  • Provide oversight/advice on technical solutions in terms of design and quality to the AMS Support Team. Ensure adherence to SLA and managed escalations on technical deliverables. Work on high priority and complex incidents and enhancements.
  • Implemented design standards and documentation of the interfaces in the upgraded system
  • Co-ordinated the testing of the interfaces with the cross-functional teams/business and external parties.
  • Data Conversion – Handle conversion of master data from legacy to SAP using LSMW and custom upload programs.

 

Minimum knowledge required for the job

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, Business Administration or similar area of study; MBA or Advanced Degree Preferred

 

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience delivering projects and digital transformation initiatives

 

  • Expertise in SAP ECC 6.0, and related SAP suite of products. SAP S4HANA a Plus.

 

  • Broad experience spanning multiple Full Life-Cycle SAP Implementations, Rollouts, Upgrades, Business Process Re-engineering, Integration and Run/Maintain Projects, using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

 

  • In-depth experience in design and delivery of RICEFW objects using HANA, ABAP, OO ABAP, Fiori, UI5, ABAP Webdynpro, EDI/ALE, LSMW, Adobe Forms, Sapscript and Smartforms.

 

  • Leader in Enterprise Architecture with a track record of providing timely, cost effective solutions in the SAP ecosystem.

 

  • Designing, developing and deploying innovative solutions for unique business challenges using SAP Cloud Platform (SCP), Robotics Process Automation (RPA) tool and Rapid Application Development (RAD) platform.

 

  • Good business process and functional knowledge in Trading, Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance and HR modules.

 

  • Proven team management experience in project and production support roles with onsite/offshore and external partner/integrator models across geographically distributed teams. Effective in collaborating within and across project teams, IT Groups, business and external partners/vendors.

 

  • Developing excellent rapport with stakeholders/leadership – identifying opportunities, communicating key-decisions/deadlines/status and managing escalations. Exhibits strong project management skills.

 

  • Strong believer of “Right Sizing” of solution, keeping in mind overall business/IT strategy for near and long term, using the right tool for the right job and building solutions that are secure, scalable, user friendly and easily supportable.

  • Highly flexible with ability to handle changing and competing priorities across multiple projects, while maintaining attention to detail with focus on delivering quality work.

 

  • Integration experience with other SAP ERP Modules: MM/FICO (cost accounting, inventory accounting, intercompany processing), PM, PP and SD. non-SAP connected applications is required.
