Basic Purpose 

Nexeo Plastics is seeking a Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety Analyst. The position will report directly to the Manager, Quality, Environment, Health and Safety, and be part of the overall QEHS Team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for following the direction and guidance of the Manager Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety (QEHS).   

 

Position Responsibilities

  • At the guidance of the Manager QEHS, will assist with the maintenance and improvement of the Quality, Environment, Health & Safety programs including audits, document control, and training.
  • Assist with or conduct internal Quality, Environment, Health & Safety audits.
  • Assist with conducting regular safety inspections of Nexeo Plastics facilities to assess operations, compliance and to detect existing, or potential accident, fire or health hazards.  Recommends correction or preventative action(s) and prepares evaluations, i.e., audit reports for corporate office review.
  • Manage, track and schedule training compliance for employees.
  • Assist with invoice processing for Quality, Environment, Health & Safety.  
  • Drafts and assists with implementing established QEHS policies, procedures and written communications.
  • Supports corrective action (CAPA) investigations and audit requests (internal & external).
  • Assist with answering customer surveys.
  • Assist with the Workers’ Compensation program.
  • Other duties and or tasks as assigned.

 

Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience & Skills)

  • Degree preferred in a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of recent Quality, Environment, Health & Safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, Environmental, Health, and Safety management systems.  
  • Experience auditing Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety Management Systems. 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, including ability to clearly convey information and ideas to all levels of the organization via multiple modes of communication.  
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work. 
  • Ability to prioritize requests to increase impact and efficiency.
  • Basic knowledge of ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) and Sustainability.
  • Some travel to our office and warehouse facilities in Canada and the United States for QEHS audits.
