Basic Purpose

 

Position Responsibilities

  • Manages the daily execution of inventory strategies with a focus on balancing service, working capital and cost
    • Analysis of procurement requisitions
    • End to end Purchase Order Management
    • Utilization of tools/reporting to proactively avoid material shortages/overages
    • Shipment Tracking
    • Proactive communication with all partners
  • Partners with Product Management to understand supplier strategy and constraints
  • Adheres to safety, legal and internal policy requirements
  • Shares the responsibility of continuous improvement by providing insights, ideas and feedback
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for internal/external inquiries
  • Facilitates issue resolution and diagnosis
  • Monitors and addresses slow moving and obsolete inventory to proactively avoid stagnation and write offs
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience & Skills)

  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong understanding of Supply Chain
  • Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of purchasing, preferably in a distribution environment. 
  • Proficiency with the MS Office package, specifically Excel 
  • Proficiency with SAP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, problem-solve and multi-task. 
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to keep accurate records.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
