Basic Purpose
The Corporate Account Manager – Mobility is responsible for delivering profitable growth across multiple regions by providing value-driven solutions to current and prospective customers. This role is accountable for achieving volume, revenue, and margin growth targets by increasing Nexeo Plastics’ share within existing accounts and expanding into new customers through the sale of product and service offerings.
This position reports to the Commercial Manager – Mobility and is expected to deliver a combination of strategic and tactical solutions in a business-to-business selling environment. The role focuses on acquiring, penetrating, managing, and retaining global, large, and complex Mobility Tier 1 and Tier 2 customers by building broad and deep relationships across key stakeholders.
The Corporate Account Manager – Mobility will be performance-driven and committed to achieving team goals that are critical to the overall success of the business.
Position Responsibilities
• Serve as the single point of contact for customer communications and account strategies.
• Lead intensive prospecting efforts and leverage existing relationships within the Southeast region and Mobility Tier 1 and Tier 2 customer base.
• Consistently implement large-scale initiatives across multiple customer locations and facilities.
• Territory Planning: Develop a strong understanding of the territory environment, including current accounts, prospects, competitors, and suppliers.
• Develop and execute Strategic Account Plans for corporate accounts and drive strategy with both internal stakeholders and customer leadership.
• Expand and further penetrate corporate accounts to broaden and deepen relationships with critical decision makers, enabling growth opportunities.
• Effectively leverage internal executive resources to strengthen and expand relationships within corporate accounts.
• Account Planning & Customer Knowledge: Identify and pursue strategic opportunities with key customers by coordinating activities across divisions and regions.
• Ownership & Performance Focus: Take full responsibility and ownership of assigned corporate accounts.
• Coordination & Leadership: Build internal networks across regions, account teams, functional groups, and suppliers to support account growth.
• Market Knowledge: Stay informed on market trends, industry developments, and regulatory issues.
• Technical Knowledge: Identify customer technical needs and build strong technical relationships to support growth initiatives.
• Value Proposition: Clearly understand and effectively communicate the full value proposition offered by Nexeo.
• Communication: Deliver customer presentations with a clear understanding of customer context and business priorities.
• Negotiations & Solution Agreement: Apply sound judgment and problem-solving skills to develop mutually beneficial solutions.
• Implementation Management: Respond effectively to evolving customer needs and additional requirements.
• Sales Administration: Maintain strong proficiency with MS Office and CRM systems.
• Pipeline and Quotation Management: Proactively manage the sales pipeline, recognizing customer positioning within the decision cycle.
Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience & Skills)
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, business, or a related field preferred.
• 10+ years of plastics sales or related industry experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% across the United States (primarily within the Southeast), with occasional international travel as needed.
• Strong prospecting and customer acquisition skills.
• Proven track record of delivering consistent, long-term growth.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships and resolve customer concerns or complaints effectively.
• Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM/ERP systems, and Salesforce preferred.
• Ability to apply logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
