Position Summary:

As our EMEA Network Planner, you will be responsible to ensure the Service (availability) and Inventory targets for a group of products. For this, you will be required to:


  • Collaborate in the definition of the distribution and material replenishment strategies
  • Generate the corresponding plans in accordance to these strategies.


You will be playing a key role in our Nexeo EMEA Supply Chain planning by establishing strong connections internally and externally with our suppliers.


Primary Responsibilities – For his/her group of products:

  • Defining the right fulfillment strategies (BTS/BTO/Call Off) together with the central analytics team and the manager.
  • Defining the right inventory policies (Safety Stock & Cycle Stock) together with the analytics team and the manager.
  • Ensuring these strategies and policies are properly reflected in the SAP master data.
  • Assessing special deals with our suppliers based on the Nexeo EMEA internal policies.
  • Running DRP and MRP on a weekly/daily basis resulting in optimized Stock Transfer and Purchase Orders (ie optimized truck loads, smoothened inbound profiles for the warehouse).
  • Updating prices in the orders upon monthly changes or special negotiated prices.
  • Following-up Purchase Orders and keep dates and quantities updated (so Commercial teams can update the customers accordingly).
  • Participating in the mid-term capacity planning (RCCP) with PLM and our key suppliers.
  • Running continuous improvement on.
    • Product availability.
    • Inventory quality.
  • Providing inputs to the manager for S&OP meetings.
  • Providing inputs to PLM to support negotiation with our suppliers.
  • Participating in end to end supply chain improvement initiatives.
  • Additional Purchase Order related tasks (Verification and approval/rejection of invoices from supplier, manage credit notes from suppliers, raise service claims to suppliers).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Primary Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in Supply Planning (ideally in Plastics/Chemicals distribution).
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Inventory Management.
  • Strong knowledge of DRP/Deployment/MPS/MRP/RCCP.
  • Good End to End Supply Chain understanding.
  • Strong SAP knowledge (PP and MM expert; SD awareness).
  • Understanding of Plastics business is desirable.
  • Advanced Supply Planning tools knowledge (SAP APO SNP, JDA Fulfillment...) is desirable.
  • Engineering MSc degree (or other degrees complemented with Supply Chain studies) is desirable.
  • Able to operate at regional level.
  • Strong computer and analytical skills.
  • English proficiency (Catalan and Spanish desirable).
